NTEU Remembers 9/11

CBP Northern New York Chapter Honors 9/11 Victims

Pentagon Memorial Unveiled on 9/11 Anniversary

Pentagon Memorial Groundbreaking Stone

The Pentagon Memorial, dedicated on the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, is the first major memorial to the nearly 3,000 victims. The two-acre Pentagon Memorial contains 184 benches, each inscribed with a victim’s name, along with lighted pools and scattered maple trees. The field, just 200 feet from where American Airlines Flight 77 crashed, is organized as a timeline of the victims' ages, moving from the youngest, only three years old, to the oldest, 71.

NTEU remembers with tremendous pride how federal employees across America went to work immediately to help our nation recover and to assist those in need.

For more information on the memorial, visit the U.S. Defense Department web site
